Midna's Story Time

by B B

Link and Midna had gone through so many trails together, from the trecherous
woods, to the mountain peak dangers. They had obtained the second mirror
shard, and now they approuched the Temple of Time.

Link- I hate the freakin little skull kid.
Midna- I sware next time we see him i'll kill him myself.
Link- Ha! That would be awsome.
Midna- Hurry up and smack the pedestal, it opens a stair way.

Link immedietly obeyed, and sure enough before his eyes, step after step
unfolded leading through the window ahead. He climbed the steps carefully,
as to avoide any unexpected suprises.

Link- Whats with the deep music?
Midna- To make it seem dramatic I guess.
Link- Hmm...sounds fimiliar.
Midna- Im not suprised.

Link haulted, and turned to Midna with a great look of confusion.

Midna- Hehe. I keep forgetting you do not know.
Link- Know what?!?
Midna- Uhh your life for starters!

Link just stared one eye brow high on his forehead.

Midna- Do you feel being one of the goddesses choosen ones is a pure honor?
Link- Sorta...
Midna- Oh but it is a blessing and a horrid little curse. You have power and
courage beyond belife, but must carry the burrden of all the lands saftey,
and not even know your own past.
Link- Whoa hold on. I got in an accident with Epona and smacked my head on a
rock.

Midna shrilled with laughter at Link's clueless being.

Midna- Oh don't feel bad, your not the only one! Alot of Hyrule has changed!
The only surviors seemed to be the Sages, Zelda, that Ganondorf guy, and
you.
Link- I don't understand.
Midna- Ugh. Sit down, this might take awhile.
Link Sat on the floor at the foot of the temple, and listened sternly to
Midna's words.
Midna- Not too long ago, prehaps 9 years to be exact. A young boy awoke one
day and was given a fairy campanion and an adventure of a life time. This
little boy traveled from the depth of, what the forest was called back then,
the Kokiri Forest, to the hights of Death Mountains and into the lord of the
Zora's. He obtained three special stones called Spiritual Stones, and
brought them here to the Temple of Time. The princess of the land was being
chased out of the castel by an evil man of the desert, but before the
princess fled the castel with her attendant, she was able to give the young
hero a mystical instrument. The boy had the stones of each race, and played
the music you here now echo through this place. A door was opened, leading
to the very sword you carry, but when the boy pulled the sword, something
unexpected happened.
Link- What?!?
Midna- Just shut up and listen. The man of the desert followed the boy into
a sacred relm opened by the Master Sword, and the evil captured the Triforce
of the goddesses.
Link- No way...oh sorry. Continue.
Midna- But he was not balanced, he only lusted for power therefore the
triforce broke inot three parts. The putrid man was given the piece of
power, the young boy given the piece of courage, and the princess blessed
with the wisdom piece. The three chosen by the gods. The boy was to young to
stop the evil man; therefore he ruled as a dark king, and a leader of
magical and powerful people held the boys spirit in slumber until he came of
age.
Link- So this magical guy, didnt stop the man himself? I thought you said
they were a group of magical and powerful people.
Midna- Here's where it gets interesting! The group of people were the
so-called glorious sages! And only one sage was aware at the time. His
name...Rauru, he had a mission for the hero, he was to travel across Hyrule
to each of the lands temples and free the spirits of the five chosen ones,
so they could awaken as sages. And sure enough after seven years of
darkness, the boy awoke as the Hero of Time, and set forth to complete his
misson. All the the sages just so happened to be friends and aquaintences of
his. The forest sage was a best-friend, and a Kokiri girl , the fire sage
was a sworn brother, and a goron, the water sage was, well she wanted to
marry him, ha, but she was a Zora, anyway; the shadow sage was the
princesses attendant, and a Shiekah, and the spirit sage was the leader of
the desert people, the very people who raised the evil king, the Gerudos.
When the hero had free'd the sages, he met the princess for the first time
in seven years, well actually she had digused herself as a sort of ninja,
called a Shiekah and assisted the hero along the way, he just did not know
her true identity.
Link- So what happened after he helped the sages?
Midna- Relax im getting there!
She huffed and raised her fist as asort of threat for Link to hush.
Midna- Anyway. So the princess blindly revealed her identity to the hero,
and at that moment the dark king siezed her and urged the young ward to come
to his dreadfull castel if he wished to save her. Of course the boy went
straight to the castel, and finally came face to face with the king. An epic
battle broke loose, and once the hero slayed the man, the princess was
released, but the king did not quit, with his last breath he brought the
castel into rubble, but lucky for the hero, the princess lead him to safety.
All seemed over with and happy untill, the king reserected and became a
hideous giant. The boy battled to the giant to the death, and what he
thought was the last blow, the princess became a Sage of Time, and all seven
sages sent the king to the Relm of Evil. But they underestimated the power
of the dark man. He used his power of the gods to free himself, and when
battle was about to erupt, the goddesses stepped in.
Link- Uh...nevermind.
Midna- Okay i'll continue then. So they felt that to much disorder and
balnce lingered in Hyrule; therefore they ruled to change it. They created
the Spirits of Light and spread them through Hyrule. Then they turned the
legendary Lost Woods and Sacred Forest Meadow, into the sacred grove and
swampy plain, and the poor Kokiri folk into humans. The gorons were morphed
taller, and put deeper into the mountains, as the fire temple became the
mines. The zoras were morphed too, and Zoras domain was shruken to a simple
pool. They raised a mountain, Snowpeak. And returned the castel to a larger
place with a huge market at its feet. The temples were effected by all the
change around them, all began to become something different, and the Shadow
Temple even vanished as the graveyard became ruins.
Link- Why would they do all this??
Midna- Well they were not entirly aware of what they were doing. All they
did was combinded their magic to make change, but I guess it grew way out of
their control. But as a punishment to the desert folk for raising such a
monster, their fortress became the Abiater prison that held the mirror to
another demension. Therefore the Spirit Temple also vanished. The goddesses
were partly ashamed of what they lost control of, therefore erased all
beings and replaced them with newer forms. The only ones who could not be
touched were the sages and the choosen three. So the goddesse desposed of
the princess, hero, and desert man's memory, and blanketed the sages to look
differently so the three would not remember all their battles, powers, and
events.
Link- What?
Midna- The princess was infact Zelda herself, the evil desert man was the
Ganondof the sages banished into twilight, and the legendary Hero of Time is
you. All of this was taken from you, and yet in an odd way it has returned
and brought Hyrule into a sort of repeat of its unknown history.
Link- What happened to the Spiritual Stones?
Midna- They were transformed into Fused Shadows when Zant came to power.
Link- When the sages talked to us at Abiators grounds, and they told us of
Ganondorfs vanquish, which sage died? And why would they tell me?
Midna- I don't know why they told you about Ganondorf, but I do believe that
it was Zelda's attendant, the Shadow Sage, that was killed.
Link- Strange coincedence that Ganondorf was banished to the Twilight, and
now this guy Zant with so much power shows up. I think both incidents are
related.
Midna- Well aren't you the Sherlock Holmes.
Link- One more question.
Midna- Shoot.
Link- How do you know all of this??
Midna- Huh. When Twilight first began to seep into your world I began
exploring, what I thought was gonna be my new home. I was in Abiators
Grounds when I over heard the Sages talking. They had been keeping records
ever since you first began your journey. They were talking about its time
you re-awaken and save Hyrule from the new threat. They were talking about
your stroy, clueless of my presence. Until a sudden urge to sneeze broke
out, and startled the forest one, she without thinking threw magic and hit
me right in the head. Next thing I knew I woke up and I was in a prison, she
managed to warp me to the castle dungeon, and low and behold guess who had
woken up near me. A pissed off blue-eyed wolf. When I learned your identity
I knew if I wanted to stop Zant I wouldneed some of your assistance. And
here we are now.
Link- I can't believe thi..
Sudden movements in the conor caused Link to jump, he snapped at Midna to
turn him into the Twilight Wolf, she did, and then jumped on his back as he
stalked forward.
