Link's Nemesis

Part I

It was a dark and cloudy night and link had just set up camp. He sat on a log by the fire, warming his numb hands. His sword and sheild was resting by a tree not too far off from his tent. Suddenly he heard a snap. Link jumped up and reached for his sword and found it wasn't there! He slowly backed up against a tree and took navi out so he could see through the thick hand of darkness. his shadow danced and flickered off the ground. but Navi's light wasn't dancing and flickering. All of a sudden he felt a tremendous pain in the stomach as if being shot by an arrow. He let go of navi and dropped to the ground, screaming as blood oozed out of his shirt. Navi yelled out and flew off to find help. Link lay there a moment in the thick black of the night. the campfire danced around as if to its own merry tune.And then, right there, he saw his shadow. But it wasn't mimicking him. it had a sword in hand and links dark blood dripped off the tip of the blade. His red eyes glinted from the flames. Then there, right there, dark link spoke. " you pitiful fool. you are completely unarmed. here take back your weapons so we can have a real fight." Dark link pulled links sword and shield out as if from no-where and them to him. He struggled to get onto his feet but managed to pull himself up with the help of a tree. He picked up his sword and shield and held them up ready to fight...

Part II

Dark link chuckled at Links futile attempt to look brave (having just been stabbed in the stomach). "You can't beat me if you can't see me.Ha Ha Ha Ha!" and with that, dark link dissapeared into the night leaving a dark chuckling. Link held his sword up. he knew he wasn't gone. All of a sudden he felt a massive pain the head. He saw stars and he hit the ground. " pitiful. just pitiful." Link felt a massive pressure on his neck then... nothing. all that was left was a chuckle echoing in his head. He knew he was dead.

Dark link laughed cruelly. He wiped the blood off of his black sword. " So thats the tragic end of a hero. killed bysomething he couldn't even see. Now to get zelda and her peice of the triforce, then I'll thwart ganondorf and i will be the most powerful being there ever lived!" He headed toward Hyrule Castle to asassinate princess zelda.

Link wandered through darkness. There was no light at the end of the tunnel. Just blackness. All of a sudden, three lights appeared. One green, one red and one blue. He knew these must be the gods.each one lit up a triforce piece. But one of the triforce pieces was shrouded in darkness. Another piece was beggining to blacken."Zelda!" Link shouted...That surprised even him!

dark link held his sword up to the princess's neck, the guards were all tied up around the back of the courtyard."this is where you die Princess"and with that, he stuck his sword into Zelda's neck...

Part III

As Dark link finished off the tied-up guards with his black sword, he decended onto the throne and chuckled darkly to himself. He held the two pieces of triforce in his hands."Now to take down ganondorf," he smirked.Just then he heard a familiar laugh in the passage infront of him.

"let me save you the trouble! You think that i'll give my piece to you that easily?"

"Well, well. If it isn't the dark lord himself, ganondorf. I never expected anything from a man who got taken down by a 16 year old! And what the hell is that transformation you call"ganon", you look like a friggen dinosaur!" sniggered Dark link.

"Shut up you pathetic excuse for a shadow. I'll take you down with my bare hands!"

Dark link rose from the chair and drew his sword, putting away the triforce pieces as if into nothingness. His hand glowed with two triangles flashing.

Ganondorf laughed and leaped forward to attack...

The next bit is in two parts. Part A and PartB. This is to show what happens if either Ganondorf or dark link wins. Therefore the next two chapters are also in two parts.

Part A: Dark Link Victory

Dark link easily deflected Ganondorfs futile attempts to defeat him. he parried and lunged forward with his sword and rammed the blade into his ribcage. "You can't kill a shadow. But a shadow can kill you." Ganondorf stumbled backwards as blood seeped out of the wound. He tried healing himself." dont bother. the poison is already pumping closer to your heart and I can see if it doesn't kill you, the blood loss will!" He accepted defeat and fell from exhaustion although it hadn't completely killed him yet. His breathing and heart rate slowed. Just before he died, his words were:"I'll be back. whether in shadow form or spirit, I'll be back..." and with that ganondorf, the evil ruler,passed away.

"goodbye ganondorf. I expected better. such a pity..."

Part B: Ganondorf victory

Ganondorfs magic enlodged itself into dark link's chest. The dark power swelled and expanded until it was as big as Dark link himself. But the triforce pieces rejected the powerand shot it back at Ganondorf.He absorbed it like a sponge and fired again except with double power. The blast knocked Dark link back. Black light surged through his body. It pumped through his bloodstream and he started to break open. shards of lightburst through his body and he erupted into a cloud of black dust. All that was heard was a dark chuckling left lingering the castle grounds. "I expected a fight, never mind.life has its dissapointments." smirked ganondorf as he lowered himself onto the throne...
